Bristol HF Rambling Club walks take full advantage of our wonderful local countryside. Most of our walks are within a radius of about 30 miles from Bristol, encompassing the Mendips, the Cotswolds and the Wye Valley.

Members are offered the opportunity to lead a walk, but this is not essential. Should you wish to learn or brush up on this skill, support and encouragement will be provided.

On Tuesdays there is an
’A’ Walk usually of of 8-9 miles in length taken at a moderately brisk pace.
‘B‘ Walk usually of 5-6 miles in length taken at a more leisurely pace.

on Saturdays there is…
a walk of varying distance depending on the Leader.
On the 3rd  Saturday of each month (except November and December), there is a more challenging hill walk of 10-12 miles, usually in the Black Mountains or Brecon Beacons, but occasionally in the Quantocks or Malverns.

Details of all walks, including a brief walk description and directions to the start point, are emailed to walkers a week in advance.

For Tuesday ‘B’ walks and Saturday walks, including hill walks, please confirm attendance to the Leader in advance.

For Tuesday ‘A’ walks, simply turn up at the start point in good time.
