Bristol HF Rambling Club walk arrangements...

Saturday Walks...

The printed walking programme, which is issued twice a year in June and December listing rambles for the following 6 months, shows the names and telephone numbers of the leaders of the walks, together with the approximate walking distance and the area in which the walk will take place.

Intending walkers telephone the leader a day or so beforehand to find out the starting point and the time of the ramble.
This call serves as a check in case of any unavoidable last minute alterations to the programme.

For members who do not have their own transport, with the help of the leader, a lift may be able to be arranged, but we are sorry, we cannot guarantee that he / she will be able to organise this.

Tuesday Walks...

The printed walking programme is issued twice a year, in June and December and lists the leaders of the following six month’s walks and their telephone numbers.

There are two walks on Tuesdays, an ‘A’ and a ‘ B’ walk.

The ‘A’ walk is usually a bit longer, 8 - 9 miles with a faster pace, the ‘B’ walk, 5 - 6 miles taken at a slower pace.

You may  telephone the leader for information regarding the starting point /time and meet there.

Annual Subscription and Car Mileage Contribution...

The current annual subscription is £6.00,  which covers the Bristol HF Rambling Club’s financial year, running
1st September to the following 31st August.

Car passengers pay 10p per mile towards the fuel costs (at the driver’s discretion).

Fitness

For everyone’s enjoyment, it is necessary that you are fit and well enough to complete the planned walk. If there is any doubt about your ability for a particular walk, please ask the leader’s advice beforehand.

Please remember, the leader can refuse to take any person considered inadequately equipped or clothed, or judged by the leader to be undertaking a walk beyond that person’s capability.

Children

Children are welcome on walks but must be accompanied by an immediate adult member of the family to take entire responsibility.
